Welcome to my project site

My plan is to use this site to educate and entertain you on the use of PIC micro-controllers. I will focus mainly on the use of the free JALv2 compiler but will also touch on other compilers. 

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Mike Reynolds. I am a middle-aged, middle class American. I have been interested in electronics all of my life and have been playing with PICs for about 8 years. I actually still have the first PIC I ever purchased, the venerable 16F84. I inserted and removed it from my Tait-style programmer so many times that one leg finally broke off, I just soldered a wire on it and kept going.
